Ziggurat of the temple of Inanna | ![]() |
Built by Ur-Nammu (2112-2095 BC). It originally had a triple staircase and was about 55 m wide. The surviving remains are made of mud-bricks and the layers of reeds and matting between the courses of brickwork can still be seen. |
